Thomas & Sons Distributors
IEQ Technology took over IT for Thomas & Sons after their previous provider fell short. We built a new Microsoft Azure environment with seven production servers and a Site-to-Site VPN connecting both of their locations. McLeod, the platform behind their dispatch, billing, and imaging, stayed up through the move. Today we handle their day-to-day support and long-term IT planning.

I have a unique perspective of IEQ Technology and Tim Woolley. I hired Tim about 20 years ago to develop a new IT, database and programming service for my media company. After I sold my interest in my company a few years later, Tim went on to start IEQ. As part of the Oregon Country Fair (OCF) Elders Timeline Project, we partnered with IEQ Technology to create a large-scale collage capturing the history of the Fair from 2010 to 2019. The Fair, a philanthropic non-profit organization rooted in community support, made clear from the start that we had only a very limited budget.
The finished piece, measuring approximately 40" by 76", features several dozen photographs along with a dozen narrative panels—together weaving images and words into the story of a decade at the Fair.
We first reached out to Tim Woolley, one of IEQ’s principal owners, who guided the project intake and set initial parameters before handing the work over to Nick Lawrence, Lead Designer. What Nick inherited was, in many ways, a worst-case scenario: a committee of passionate elders deeply invested in both the content and the outcome. Although we had agreed that only one committee member would serve as the point of contact, that agreement quickly dissolved. Nick managed the situation with remarkable patience, professionalism, and good humor.
Over the course of four months, the project went through 12 final versions. Each revision was executed with precision and ultimately improved the finished collage. After multiple renderings and refinements, Tim Woolley stepped back in and generously decided to gift the completed work to the Fair.
The generosity, professionalism, and good nature of everyone at IEQ Technology left a lasting impression on us, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership in bringing this project to life.
